I think MSI = Microsoft Installer but I am guessing! You may find the file on your Office XP CD even though the system is not finding it! I'm trying to install the Perl package from www.perl.com (www.activestate.com, actually) on my Win98 machine, using the .msi package (Microsoft Installer). Since Win98 doesn't seem to have the msi stuff on it, I went to www.microsoft.com and picked up the msi.exe package there (from Office 2000, I believe).
